Context
Using hand tracking powered by the MediaPipe plugin for TouchDesigner, I created a live performance video that explores the circle of life through the lens of motherhood. The visuals are AI-generated using Stable Diffusion in TouchDesigner.
By translating hand gestures into motion and form, the performance captures the emotional rhythm of a mother's journey from birth to old age. The hands become both storyteller and subject, controlling animation in real time to reflect love, sacrifice, resilience, and legacy. This work merges technology and emotion to create an embodied narrative, where each movement becomes a visual echo of lived experience.
From the tenderness of new beginnings to the quiet wisdom of old age, the performance reflects how a mother shapes life while being shaped by it, embodying love, resilience, and transformation in every motion.
